As the founder and President of Grace Matters, Kelli coordinates, mentors, and advocates for the clients who are a part of the Grace Matters program.
Along with serving as a certified Biblical Counselor with the International Association of Biblical Counselors since 2014, Kelli also serves an intern/student teacher with Professor, Warren Lamb, at Truth In Love Biblical Counseling Center.
By way of a skilled and compassionate Biblical Counselor and the understanding of the truth of God’s Word, Kelli has benefited in her healing journey from the trauma and abuse she endured as a child and in her first marriage. Kelli’s insight and compassion for those who struggle have made passing the healing, encouragement, and knowledge of God’s healing Word to others an incredible passion for her.
Kelli attends Calvary Chapel University in pursuit of her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with the hopes of pursuing her Masters in Biblical Counseling one day.
Kelli is an active intern working toward her certification in becoming a Christian conciliator through the Institute for Christian Conciliation. The ability to help navigate Christians in the face of conflict in a Christ-like and Biblical manner is an area Kelli feels all believers are responsible for doing well. She believes that conflict is an opportunity for strengthening and growing the body of Christ and the individuals involved.
Kelli also serves as a trauma volunteer with an organization called T.I.P. (Trauma Intervention Program), which is a nationally recognized program with specific skills training in handling crises and trauma.
The heart and joy of Grace Matters for Kelli is seeing those she walks alongside freed from lies and bondage that others put on them, or that they have become to believe for themselves, in order to receive, wholly, the design that God has given them. In turn, the transformation this brings encourages and allows God to do the transformative work of living a life build on the foundations that Christ has provided.
Soli Deo Gloria
Robert Russell became interested in Biblical Counseling when a major life event caused him to question why he was understanding and interpreting God’s Word through others.
God moved on his heart to do his own study of the Word. Through the work and pursuance of seeking the truth in studying to become a Biblical Counselor, Robert has learned to humbly walk alongside those who are struggling with their worth and their own relationship with God. Robert is an encouraging true grit counselor who enjoys engaging men to become better leaders and more solidly grounded in God’s vision of leadership for their families and other areas that God calls them to lead in servant leadership.
Crystal began studying Biblical Counseling with Truth in Love Biblical Counseling Center, formerly known as Vancouver Bible Institute in 2013. As Crystal has received deeper healing and become more solidly equipped as a student of Biblical Counseling with an already solid base in challenging theological concepts, she has learned how to effectively combat the lies that had dominated much of her life. As she has learned to be free of the bondage of such lies she has been able to more and more walk alongside others in their own healing journey. One of the great joys for Crystal in her Biblical Counseling practice is to watch others grow in a greater understanding of our Healer and Savior and walking others out of their own journeys of bondage and toxic-shame. Crystal’s solid understanding of God’s Word and the freedom that comes from truly knowing it well make her an effective and humble counselor.
Kaitlin began her Biblical Counseling journey in 2013.
In 2017 she received her certification for Biblical Counseling from the International Association of Biblical Counselors.
Kaitlin’s desire to be more readily equipped began when her love for helping sex trafficking victims collided with her own life and she witnessed how helpful it was to have someone come alongside them in intentional discipleship.
The joy that Kaitlin finds in Biblical Counseling is that it is such a privilege to walk alongside fellow believers, helping them overcome crisis, trauma, abuse, addiction, and shame, bringing them ultimately to the heart of the Father.
Kaitlin serves at a residential program for women as well as doing individual counseling and she loves witnessing miracles every day!
