Kelli Russell
Executive Director, Founder, Conciliator, Counselor
As the Founder and President of Grace Matters Ministries, Kelli coordinates, mentors, and advocates for the clients who are a part of the Grace Matters' program.
The focus for Grace Matters is, in large part, on trauma, loss, and poor family foundations. When we consider poor family foundations, often, the larger Church community is challenged in connecting with those who have not been long-term believers, or who are brand new believers needing a loving, nurturing, safe community. When trauma has drastically impacted the foundation of worthiness and an ability to understand how to engage in loving relationships, the length of time to build passport with such individuals can take months, often years. Through biblical counseling, discipleship, soul care, and safe connections within the community, these foundations are made possible.
Kelli holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies through Calvary Chapel University, majoring in Biblical Counseling. As a Certified Christian Conciliator through the ICC, her skill in helping fellow believers navigate conflicts to a compassionate, biblical resolution is a cornerstone of Kelli's directive goals. Kelli believes wholeheartedly that conflict can be an opportunity for growing and nurturing the body of Christ.
Kelli has been married to a generous and supportive husband, Robert, for 24 years. They reside in Vancouver, Washington, and are parents of a now-grown-up blended family. Seven adult children, their significant others, and seven incredible grandsons bring great joy to their lives.
In her downtime, Kelli enjoys the nature and beauty in her modest hummingbird and dahlia gardens or challenging her hubby to a game of pickleball. (He is patient with the challenge.)
The heart and joy of Grace Matters for Kelli is seeing those she walks alongside freed from the lies and bondage that others, either societally or personally, have led them to believe about themselves. When a person can receive – wholly -- the design that God has given them, and then have the courage and boldness to live into it, He is in their midst.
